Mommyhood...on my own!

Yesterday was my first day alone with Baby Ty. Last week my mom and mom-in-law stayed with us to help out while Josh went back to work. This week it's just Ty and me! I was pretty nervous to try mommyhood on my own, but it has been great so far! I don't get much accomplished during the day besides feeding him, but he is such a good baby, and I am really enjoying time alone with him. I'm trying to cherish this time with him because I know he is going to grow up so quickly!

Ty and I got a special delivery yesterday from Daddy! Josh sent us flowers for our first day alone together. Isn't that so sweet? Josh is not only an amazing husband, but an absolutely amazing father as well! The good Lord certainly blessed me when He put Josh in my life! I love you, Josh! And Ty loves you too! Thank you for all you do for us!

Back to work!

Josh had to go back to work this week after having two nice, long weeks off. It was difficult for me...I LOVED having him here with me and Ty all day! It has been difficult for Josh too, getting very little sleep and having to go back to working long days. We are very grateful for the time he had off, though! We realize how blessed we have been...the Lord has really worked everything out for us!

Grandma and Grandpa Mertz

Grandma and Grandpa Mertz came to visit us this past weekend! Grandma stayed until today to help out, and we are so grateful! She helped cook and clean, and feed Baby Ty so mommy and daddy could get some sleep! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!!! We love you!

Sorry for the delay, but here he is! We named him Tyson Joshua Kinsel, but will call him Ty. He was born at 4:32 pm on Friday, September 5. He weighed 6 pounds 6 ounces, and was 18 1/2 inches long. Mommy gave birth by C-section (very scary, but we made it) and is recovering well. Thank you for all the prayers, well wishes, and support. The Lord has blessed us with a perfect little miracle, and we can't wait for eveyone to meet him!

Tomorrow is the Big Day!

Well, tomorrow is the big day! I am being induced! We have to call the hospital at 5 AM, and they will tell us what time to come in. BIB will hopefully be here sometime this weekend, depending on how long everything takes to happen! Josh and I are so excited to finally meet our little one, although I admit as the time gets closer my nervousness/anxiousness is getting stronger and stronger! Please keep us in your prayers! Josh and I will try to get the news out to everyone as quickly as possible, but seeing as how we will be in the hospital for at least a few days, I won't be able to post. When we get home I will post the news and as many pics as I can! Thanks to everyone for their prayers and support!

Interesting Doctor Visit!

Will it be a BOY or a GIRL???

Well, Josh and I had quite an adventure at our doctor's appointment today! We thought for a few minutes (or should I say a few hours) that we were going to be having Bib even earlier than this weekend! We went in for a regularly scheduled 9 AM appointment and were finally released to go home at about 1 PM! My blood pressure was a little high at today's visit, and our ultrasound results from the Louisville doctors showed that Bib was a little smaller than they would like him/her to be at this point, so our doctor wanted to run some blood pressure tests on me while monitoring Bib's heart rate. So, I had to lay in the Labor and Delivery room for a couple hours while they did some tests on Bib and I. All the tests came back A-OK, and our doctor said she would release us and see us on Friday when they will begin to induce me!

Another interesting thing happened today too...the doctor called Bib a SHE! Our doctor said, "You're having a girl, right?" We told her we didn't know, but that comment made us really start to wonder! Could it be that we're having a girl??? We were so convinced that Bib was a boy! So, I'm putting up another poll, even though we already did this one a few months ago. Vote for Bib....will it be a boy or a girl???? We'll find out sometime this weekend, so vote soon! :-)

I love my husband!

Okay, so some of you are probably going to get grossed out by the "cheesiness" or "lovey-doviness" of this post, while others of you (those of you that are romantics) may think it's cute, and still others may get a tad jealous, but I just had to post this! My husband is the best husband in the whole world, and I love him more than words can describe!!!! Let me tell you about my day today. I had to work, but Josh had the day off. On his day off he got up early to make me breakfast, he took me to work, and picked me up from work. While I was working, he folded and put away our laundry, went to the grocery, and the best surprise of all was what was waiting for me on the kitchen counter when we got home:





Yep, that's right....a dozen roses!!!! For no reason other than the fact that he loves me! Isn't he so sweet? What an awesome day! My hubby makes me so incredibly happy, and I am so blessed to have him in my life! Sorry if this post was a little mushy....I just had to brag about my wonderful husband!
