Whew have we been busy! We have been doing so much that I am too exhausted at night to even check my email! Here's what we've been up to these last couple weeks.
Holding Ty carefully to avoid getting spit up on his dress blues!
So handsome...and patriotic with the flag in the background!
Some of Josh's buddies after graduation
Congratulations, Josh! We are proud of you!
A couple days after Josh's graduation, it was my turn to play Army for a day! Josh's unit had a "Spouse's Spur Ride" where the wives got to do what their soldiers do! It was so much fun! To start off with, we had a PT test, which consisted of push-ups, sit-ups, and a run around the track. From there, we got to go to the tank simulators to learn how to operate an Abrams Battle Tank with a four man (woman) crew. Next we went to a team obstacle course. We worked through 3 obstacles while making sure our "battle buddy" (a raw egg) was safe. To wrap up the day, we got to play paintball! We learned how to clear rooms just like our soldiers do. The day was so much fun, and definitely gave me a new found respect for what my hubby (and all our troops) train to do to protect our country.
We took Ty to the Louisville Zoo twice in one week. He had a great time, and we will be going back there lots this summer!

We traveled home to Cincinnati on Memorial Day Weekend. It was the first time Josh had been home since Christmas! We had a ton of people to see in such a short time, and were exhausted by the time we got back to Ft. Knox. It was great seeing our friends and family, though. We miss them so much!
Josh and his good friend Paul with Paul's Porsche 996 race car! Notice the military-themed paint job?!

Ty is cutting his four top, front teeth. He has been so much fun, and really adjusting well to "sharing" his mommy with the daycare kids. We are working on getting him to eat more solid food, but the poor thing just gags on stage 3 baby food. I guess it's just too lumpy a texture for him. Mean parents that we are, we had to record him gagging on his food. We felt bad for him, but thought it was too funny! Hopefully the video isn't too dark for you all to enjoy.
In our next post, we will reveal some news to those of you that don't already know, so....stay tuned! :-)
