Family Visits Galore!

We had a very exciting week/weekend! During the week, Ty's Aunt Michelle, Cousin Maddie, Meemaw and Pawpaw came down for a visit. Then on the weekend, Ty's Aunt Brandi, Uncle Chris, and Cousin Gabrielle stayed with us! What fun!! We went to the Louisville Zoo, the Louisville Science Museum, and the Louisville Slugger Museum. We played outside and enjoyed the weather until it rained on us Saturday. We love having visitors, and thank you all for coming down to spend time with us! We are looking forward to when our next visitors come down to see us...our friends, the Sunderman's!

Here are some pictures of the fun we had!

Of course I have yet another video to post of Ty. It is just incredible how fast he is learning how to do new things these days! He is now constantly pulling himself up to stand. First it was the low-man crawl, then the regular crawl (he is a speed crawler now!), and now it's pulling himself to stand! He is even starting to walk (holding on) once he pulls himself up. He is going to be walking before we know it, and I'm not ready yet!!!! Geez they grow so fast! This is a video of the very first time he pulled himself up to stand. I was talking to my sister, and when I looked down he had pulled himself up to try to get the dishes in the dishwasher! Little stinker!

More doctor updates!

Great news for Josh and I today! We both had doctor's appointments, and got good news...praise God! Josh's eyes are healing well, and his eyesight continues to get better each day.

My baby doctor appointment went well too! We actually heard Bib Dos's heartbeat today. It was between 160-170, but the doctor said the heart rate will stabilize after 16 weeks (so that doesn't necessarily mean we're having a girl for all you baby myth believers out there). Our doctor said the baby was moving around a lot, and she predicted it was going to be another boy since he was so active! So, I am going to post another poll. Knowing what we know so far, do you think Bib Dos will be a boy or a girl? My gut is telling me it's a boy. Josh thinks it's a boy too (but he always votes for boys!). Hopefully we'll find out at my 20 week ultrasound (which should be at the end of August), if baby cooperates. So, let us know what you think...boy or girl?

Josh's surgery

Just wanted to let you all know that Josh's eye surgery went well. He is in a lot of pain, and has been drugged up and sleeping most of yesterday and today. Hopefully he will start feeling better soon, and will be able to see better than ever! We have a follow-up appointment for him on Monday, along with a baby doctor appointment for me and Bib Dos. Will keep you updated! Thanks for all your prayers! We are blessed to have family and friends like you! :-)

The Bats Game!

We took Ty to his first baseball game on Sunday! The Louisville Bats game! Ty loved his first game, and I have a feeling we will be taking him to many more games! Hopefully a Cincinnati Reds game will be in our future! There was a concert on the field after the game by the Christian band, Tenth Avenue North, and they rocked! We had a great weekend, and hope everyone else did too!

Josh's eye surgery is tomorrow. We gotta travel down to Ft. Campbell, what fun! Please pray for him! I will let you know how it goes! Thanks!

Update!

Time for an update! Past time for an update...but you know how that goes!

We are doing great! Josh just finished up ARC (Army Reconnaissance Course) and is on to his next "follow-on school", a Stryker Course, which seems to be much more relaxed with NO field time...thank God! Josh did great in ARC and graduated in the top of his class just like he did in BOLC III. We are so proud of him! Josh is getting eye surgery next week. The surgery he is getting is called PRK. It is similar to Lasik, but it is a longer and more painful recovery. He is excited to be getting it done...no more glasses or contacts to fool with! His surgery in Wednesday, July 15. Please say some prayers for him that the surgery goes well and he recovers quickly.
Ty is incredible! He is in this explosion of learning new things right now! He is crawling around everywhere now, and is so curious about everything! It is so fun to just watch him explore and learn new things. We can't believe how fast he is growing! He is such a blessing and such a good, happy baby! We just love him to bits! Of course I will post some videos of him. That seems to be what this blog has turned into...videos of Ty, but I can't help it, he's just such a cutie! :-)

I had another baby doctor appointment last week, and our first ultrasound. Bib Dos seems to be just fine so far! We had a quick ultrasound just to measure him and make sure our due dates seemed to match up. He looked fine, and we saw his little heart beating. But when the doctor tried to listen for the heartbeat, we couldn't hear it. That worried Josh and I, but since we saw the heart beating on the ultrasound, and the doctor said that it was normal to not be able to hear it sometimes this early on, we felt okay. I go back on July 20th, so hopefully we'll hear it then. Josh and I both think that Bib Dos is a boy, which is why we keep calling it a "he." Please pray that baby #2 is growing healthy and strong!

Well, that's what has been going on with us! We will keep you updated on Josh's eye surgery, and our baby Dr. appointment's too! Thanks for all your prayers!
