Crazy weather!

Well, the weather here has been awful, and we actually lost power for a while. The Army Post has been closed since Tuesday evening, so we have pretty much been snowed in with no power! It's been quite an adventure! Luckily, our power was restored pretty quickly (we were the only housing area on post with power for a while) so we didn't have to evacuate and go anywhere! Josh has been off school, and the Family Child Care (FCC) Class that I was supposed to be attending was also cancelled. My mom was down here visiting to help us out watching Ty while I was in FCC training. Thank the good Lord she made it back to Cincy safely! I guess Josh is going to have to attend class on the weekends to make up for the days he missed, and I will have to make up my FCC training as well. We hope everyone that was in the midst of this crazy winter storm stayed warm and safe!

Update on Baby Parker!

Thank you to those of you that remembered Baby Parker in your prayers! Our prayers were answered! His surgery went well, and the hospital sent him home yesterday! Praise the Good Lord! The power of prayer is AWESOME!

Josh classes up!

A Combat Arms Branch...Armor!

When we first came to Ft. Knox, we were supposed to be here for Josh's BOLC III class (Armor Officer's training). Since Josh blew out his knee a week before he was due to start class back in April, he wasn't able to attend due to the physical demands of the training. So, he has been working as Executive Officer for the Armor School the whole time we've been here. Well, Josh has finally been cleared by his doctor to officially start the class. He "classed up" this week, and will be very busy the next four months learning the specifics of being an Armor officer! Please pray for him as this will be both a mentally and physically demanding course. To top it all off, he has been sick this week, and we need him to be healthy before he has to go out in the freezing cold for hours on end! So, if you could remember him in your prayers, we would be so grateful! Josh, you are an amazing husband, daddy, and Armor officer, and we know you will do extremely awesome in this course! We love you and are so proud of you!

Prayer Request

Please pray for our good friends, the Wisham's, and their 2 week-old baby, Parker. Parker had to have surgery this morning on an obstructed bowel. I can't even imagine what Jay and Heather are going through right now! Please pray that Baby Parker pulls through okay and recovers quickly! Thank you!

Poll Results!

Thanks to all of you that voted on our most recent poll. It looks like 63% agree with me that Ty resembles Josh more. Maybe, if we're blessed with another precious baby, it'll look like me! :-)

Well, I guess this outfit is perfect for Ty!

Cereal...yum, yum!

So we gave Ty cereal like a big boy (with a spoon) for the first time this week, and here's how it went:

So funny...I'm not sure he actually swallowed any, but he'll eventually get it!

Ty's Christmas gifts

Ty got some new wheels for Christmas...check it out!

His little feet don't touch the floor yet, even though we have it on the lowest setting! LOL! He loves being pushed around in it, though!

He got a new high chair for Christmas too! He's still a bit too little for it as well, but we thought we'd try it anyway!

Here's Baby Parker!

Here is Ty's new buddy...Baby Parker, 6 lbs. 11 oz., 19 1/2 in.

Isn't he cute?!

Welcome to the world, Baby Wisham!!!

Our good friends, Heather and Jay, just welcomed their son, Robert Parker, to the world yesterday evening. We are so excited for them, and for Ty to have a new buddy! :-) What a great New Year's gift! I don't have a picture of him yet, and don't know much of the specifics (I think he weighed 6 lbs 11 oz), but I will definitely post more when I have it. Welcome baby Robert!
